NEW Hollow Pendant Workshop - Friday 24th May 2024

Make yourself a beautiful pendant in this new workshop!

Learn how to texture silver through the rolling mill and then shape it using my own range of dies. These are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes so you are sure to find something to fit your own unique style! I'll then teach you my techniques for soldering two shaped pieces of silver into a beautifully tactile and light-weight pendant.

Previous experience of soldering and sawing is needed for this workshop. If you usually wear reading glasses please remember to bring them with you.

14 to 16 year olds are welcome but will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are included in the workshop fee. Please bring a packed lunch.

Date and Venue

10pm-2.30pm Friday 24th May 20244 at Fairways House, Mount Pleasant Road, Southampton, Hampshire. Full directions will be emailed.

Materials

Materials (sterling silver sheet) are available for purchase on the day. The exact cost of the materials will be determined by the size and therefore weight of the pendant you make and the price of silver on the day. The material costs for most hollow pendants is in the range of £15-£22, plus £3.50 for an 18" chain if you would like one.

Tools and Equipment

The workshop fee includes use of all the tools and equipment needed. All workshops discuss tools, equipment, materials and health and safety considerations.

Cancellations

Cancellations of workshop places and private tuition bookings within four weeks of the event will forfeit the workshop/private tuition fee unless I am able to find someone to take your place. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
